Education Director (Part-Time/Contract) AREAS:
West AL- MUST LIVE IN ONE OF THE COUNTIES YOU SERVE Includes the following school systems:
Selma City, Marengo County, Linden City, Demopolis City, Perry County, University Charter School, Tuscaloosa City, Tuscaloosa County, Wilcox County DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for any presentations to groups or individuals in the community about the Super Citizen Programs, as well as any school personnel who will need to be introduced to the programs and their merits
- If applicable, serve as a liaison to the donor team and the donor in your area during the buy-in phase with the school system.
- Responsible for the delivery of resource materials and conducting all teacher training in your region
- Maintain communication and build relationships with teachers and administrators.
- Document all pertinent information concerning products, school information, dates, etc., in Salesforce.
- Maintain inventory of resource kits throughout the school year
- Attend all Kickoff and Celebration/EXPO events scheduled for your school systems
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Education with a proven record of effective teaching and/or leadership experience in a school setting
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
- Knowledge of academic education curricula - i.e., history of our country, civics, etc
- Proficient with the use of technology and/or multimedia, including but not limited to computers, handheld devices, cameras, social media, etc.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
- Ability to manage and facilitate educational programs
- Proficient in writing and public speaking
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle
- Overnight travel may be required
- Must be able to lift and move boxes up to 20 lbs
- Must live in one of the counties that you will serve
