Job Description
We are actively seeking a Special Education Teacher (SPED) for the remainder of the school year. Please see details below:
Location:
Bessemer City, AL
PAY: $32/hr+(negotiable/depending on experience)
- Contract Position | Full Time
- Hours:
37.5/week - M-F 7:45am-3:15pm
- Start/End Date: ASAP- 5/24/2024
- Caseload Details:
- High School
- Self-contained classroom (19 students)
- On site Only
- Zoom Interview
Duties:
- Assess students skills and determine their educational needs.
- Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student.
- Teach and mentor students as a class, in small groups and one-on-one.
- Discuss students progress with parents, other teachers, counselors, and administrators.
Required Credentials/Non-Negotiables:
- Bachelor s degree in education or Master s/ Doctoral Degree in Special Education
- Active Alabama Special Education Teaching license
- MUST know the Alabama Achievement Standards
