Quality Engineer -McCalla, AL

Job Summary

• Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive action for process and material related concerns
• Leads cross functional teams in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive action for material and process related concerns
• Resolve quality issues of capability, tolerance, and materials related issues
• Apply appropriate use of statistical techniques
• Sets and monitors SPC data to ensure delivery of consistent quality from suppliers or to customers
• Trains Quality Associates to use inspection equipment, part/assembly checking fixtures, Data Myte
• Follows-up customer quality issues, analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints
• Participates in the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis(FMEA)
• Lead/Participates in the Advanced Product Quality Planning activities for new product launches
• Develops and submit PPAP documents for new product launches and part engineering changes
• Maintains Quality Control Plans and Inspection Process Sheets throughout the life of the part
• Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and submitting data; making recommendations
• Works with cross functional team to ensure Quality KPI targets are achieved

• Strong knowledge of GD&T and SPC
• Knowledge of quality tools/techniques (APQP, PPAP, ISO/IATF, Problem Solving)
• Ability to work in a team-based lean manufacturing environment.
• Moderate to advance computer and Microsoft Office skills.
• Data Analysis
