The Engineer Technologist will be assigned to a project that requires utility pole design mapping. They will be given survey packets of the poles they are mapping. These surveys were collected by the people out in the field. With the survey packets they will know the geographic location of the poles and the different assets (wires, boxes, etc.) attached to each pole.

They will use all this information to digitally create the design "distribution" map.

About the Role

The Engineer Technologist will be responsible for utility pole design mapping using survey packets.

Responsibilities

Utilize survey packets to understand the geographic location of utility poles.
Identify different assets attached to each pole.
Create digital design "distribution" maps based on collected data.

Qualifications

Relevant educational background in AutoCAD or Design.
No Engineering Degree required.

Required Skills

Proficiency in mapping software.
Strong analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with utility pole design.
Familiarity with geographic information systems (GIS).
