As a Senior Project Manager at LJA Energy, you will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary engineering projects in the oil and gas sector, ensuring successful project delivery from conception through construction. You will coordinate directly with clients, contractors, and discipline leads to oversee project execution, quality control, and technical compliance. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships across multiple active projects.
ATYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE
- Leading the discovery, bidding, and execution of midstream engineering projects across a range of facility types.
- Providing bid phase assistance to clients, including proposal development, cost estimation, and project planning.
- Managing technical construction activities and responding to requests for information (RFIs).
- Overseeing QA/QC on engineering packages, including specification review, comment incorporation, and full document coordination.
- Reviewing and approving drawing packages, verifying compliance with client standards, and ensuring quality deliverables.
- Coordinating with internal engineering disciplines and external stakeholders to achieve project milestones and objectives.
- Compiling final engineering packages for distribution and record documentation.
- Maintaining open communication with clients and representing LJA professionally during meetings, presentations, and site visits.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Alabama, or ability to obtain licensure within two years.
- 10–15 years of experience managing multidisciplinary engineering projects in the oil and gas sector.
- Strong familiarity with P&IDs, PFDs, facility site planning, equipment specification and procurement, and construction package assembly.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, organizational, and writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project teams.
- Experience leading midstream infrastructure projects such as compressor stations, terminals, or pipeline facilities.
