Position: Deposit Processing Specialist (Return Operations)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance on all accounts
  • Ensures that all deposits are coded and processed correctly
  • Corrects and resolves any encoding errors
  • Processes any return deposit items
  • Acts as first line of defense for fraud or suspicious transaction activities, including escalating any suspicious transactions or closing the account
  • Keeps up to date on all applicable government regulations and company policies
  • Provides guidance to less experienced team members
  • Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of related banking or operations experience
Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • General knowledge of banking procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Strongly Preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Job Range Target

Minimum: $37,750.00 USD

50th Percentile: $44,940.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans
