Wealth Management Centralized Trading Analyst (I) – Hoover, AL
Job DescriptionAt Regions, the Wealth Management Centralized Trading Analyst I performs trading and portfolio management activities for accounts in Asset Management and other portions of Wealth Management. This position is responsible for ensuring Wealth Management portfolios are aligned with their investment objectives, supporting partner requests for portfolio maintenance, providing investment advice and guidance to internal advisors and effecting trades within client portfolios.
Additionally, the Centralized Trading Analyst works with partners to detect, report and elevate issues related to trading technology and is responsible for executing mandatory risk oversight and reporting on the Centralized Trading book of business.
- Initiates, maintains, monitors and executes required actions to effect security transactions in accounts where given trading authority; rebalancing, raising cash, investing cash, implementing model changes and liquidating accounts as required
- Supports Portfolio Managers, Private Wealth Management (PWM) Trust Advisors, and Relationship Consultants with implementation of investment policies, unique trade requests and actions developed by the Investment Working Group
- Provides investment advice and guidance to PWM Trust Advisors and Relationship Consultants by developing client investment objectives and investment policy statements, monitoring portfolio risks, and effecting trades within client portfolios
- Executes on trading platform with expert-level knowledge, participates in testing of quarterly software updates, detects and elevates system issues to trading platform vendor, and provides training to Regions Asset Management Portfolio Managers regarding functionality
- Participates in developing ideas and executing practices to increase overall trading efficiency and enhance risk mitigation for the Asset Management Business unit
- Possesses a deep understanding of Asset Managements' best thinking and model creation, current asset allocation and tactical allocations in RAMs Mutual Fund and Manager Models and CTG firm level fulfillment models
- Performs ad hoc reporting and other firm level trade operations functions
- Assists in the training of associates on trading systems
- Bachelor's Degree
- OR High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of trading, asset management, wealth management, trust operations, business, marketing, communications or other related experience
- Past relevant experience preferred (i.e. summer internship)
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Demonstrated success in following documented desk procedures and enhancing procedures as appropriate
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Proactive in learning new systems and taking initiative to go above and beyond what is being asked
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Team player with proven ability to work independently

Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job. The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
