Risk Manager/Analyst, Financial Compliance, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee a small team of professional-level compliance staff and manage compliance efforts for a designated business unit.
- Manage a monitoring and testing program to ensure effective compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Support the business unit by collaborating to develop processes and procedures that ensure regulatory compliance, including participation in team meetings, business process improvement efforts, and compliance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain knowledge of rules, regulations and their impact on products, services, and operations for a specific line of business.
- Develop policies and procedures to comply with federal regulations and applicable state laws.
- Provide guidance to various departments regarding compliance issues and the implementation of new compliance requirements.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and appropriate submission of information requested by regulatory agencies.
- Assist in the development and execution of training programs to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Analyze account activity to identify potential risks and fraud.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of surveillance systems and processes.
- Conduct in-depth research into customer accounts, properly document findings, and communicate with business partners and business partner liaisons to ascertain whether activity is reasonable with the purpose of the account.
- Document findings by preparing reports that are clear and comprehensible to business partners, internal auditors, and regulatory examiners.
- Maintain knowledge of the regulatory environment to develop risk ratings of all monitoring and testing activities.
- Stay informed of industry trends and developments to anticipate potential compliance and operational risks and proactively address them.
- Foster a positive and professional working relationship with colleagues and promote a team‑oriented and supportive work environment.
- Adhere to all internal policies, procedures, and relevant laws and regulations to maintain the highest level of integrity and ethical standards.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree and seven (7) years of directly related experience, plus three (3) years of management experience.
- High School Diploma or GED, eleven (11) years of directly related experience, and three (3) years of management experience.
- Knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to compliance in a specific line of business.
- Master’s degree.
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM).
- Ability to learn additional systems as needed.
- Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts.
- Ability to supervise and manage a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic and self‑motivation.
- Strong analytical, research, and reporting skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Tableau.
- Ability to solve problems by identifying and resolving issues.
- Attention to detail in reviewing and analyzing data.
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors that directly impact pay for individual associates include experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location, and performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and the level of the position.
Job Range Target:

50th Percentile: $ USD
Incentive Pay Plans:
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance. Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
