Job Summary:
Accurately enter patients into the hospital scheduling system for outpatient testing.
Assure precertification requirements are met when patient is scheduled and complete follow-up if needed.
Maintain up-to-date records of scheduling guidelines from all scheduling centers and follow all procedural guidelines and instructions on all scheduled procedures.
Accurately and thoroughly document pertinent information regarding the handling of the account, including researching prior accounts.
Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. In-depth knowledge of medical terminology required.
Experience:
Two years’ medical terminology experience required. Phone experience preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Computer experience required. Must be able to type 30 WPM.
