Role Description The Assistant Manager
- Talent is a full-time, on-site role based in Deer Park, IL. This role supports the end-to-end talent lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention for store teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include partnering with managers to identify staffing needs, coordinating interviews, and supporting selection processes that reflect Gap's values and commitment to inclusion. - Talent helps implement training programs, tracks performance and development activities, and provides guidance on career growth and internal mobility. The role also contributes to employer branding initiatives, maintains accurate talent-related documentation, and ensures compliance with company policies and local regulations while fostering a positive, engaging workplace culture.

Qualifications
  • Experience in talent acquisition and recruitment, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
  • Strong skills in employee onboarding, training coordination, and performance support or development.
  • Knowledge of HR processes, basic employment practices, and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
  • Proficiency in communication, relationship-building, and collaboration with cross-functional and store teams.
  • Ability to use HR or applicant tracking systems, spreadsheets, and standard office software to manage data and workflows.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Experience in retail or customer-focused environments is beneficial, especially in supervisory or HR-related roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
