Job Description
Responsible for the development, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the IT controls framework, including documentation, risk management, training, and associated processes. Provides oversight of the audit process within IT and the process for tracking open audit findings, test exceptions, and systemic issues.
Ensures continuous improvement by working closely with representatives of the community to improve their respective processes and then publish, train, and govern them. Additionally, supports the integration of AI governance into IT controls, ensuring responsible use of AI technologies through policy development, risk assessment, and compliance monitoring.
What You’ll Do- Utilize broad expertise in governance, controls, and risk management, serving as subject expert and providing effective counsel to leaders and business areas on IT controls and audits.
- Responsible for IT software development lifecycle process improvement, documentation, and the implementation of the controls.
- Oversee and coordinate the audit process within IT while working collaboratively with other business areas and external firms to ensure effective communication and management of audits.
- Identify systemic weaknesses in IT controls, provide guidance on actions for resolution, and escalated issues as needed to get resources to address issues.
- Create, implement, and manage processes, policies, procedures, standards, and controls for IT risk management.
- Lead IT process change initiatives that are highly complex, have critical dependencies with other change initiatives or established processes, and impact multiple divisions.
- Manage and prioritize overall portfolio of change initiatives, collecting inputs to define future change initiatives.
- Develop and enforce AI governance policies to ensure ethical, transparent, and accountable use of AI systems across IT operations.
- Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to assess AI-related risks, including bias, privacy, and model drift, and integrate mitigation strategies into the IT controls framework.
- Monitor regulatory developments related to AI and ensure organizational compliance with emerging standards and legislation.
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
- 5+ years of experience in a related field, or 7+ years of experience in a related field in lieu of a degree.
