Groundskeeper (Apartment Maintenance)

Location: Hoover, AL

Eligible for $1,000 sign‑on bonus.

We’re hiring a qualified candidate committed to grounds maintenance at Summer chase at Riverchase, a multifamily apartment community in Hoover, AL.

• Common area inspection – walk common areas daily
• Ensure the office/shop is maintained clean and orderly
• Enforce trash standards on property and put out trash notices
• Inspect irrigation weekly
• Oversight of trash compactor and pool maintenance; available for on‑call schedule (weekend duties)
• Keep community parking lots and breezeways free of garbage, clutter, and debris
• Perform custodial duties (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, window cleaning, etc.)
• Follow schedules assigned by the Service Manager
• Maintain gates, security equipment, and report needed repairs
• Keep records of scheduled maintenance on all equipment
• Monitor and inventory tools and equipment
• Suggest improvements to working conditions and equipment use

• Groundskeeping: 1 year (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation

• Work outdoors in local climate
• Use manual and power tools up to 40 pounds
• Carry, set‑up, and climb ladders/scaffolding up to 125 pounds, heights up to 40 feet
• Transport and set‑up items up to 250 pounds, using hand trucks and stairs
