Medsurg Vascular Unit- Our Medical‑Surgical Vascular unit provides care for patients with complex vascular and circulatory conditions, general medical and post‑surgical needs, and offers nurses the opportunity to develop clinical assessment, critical thinking, and technical skills.
- Patients include peripheral vascular disease, arterial and venous disorders, wound complications, post‑operative vascular care, and chronic conditions requiring ongoing monitoring and education.
- Collaborate with vascular surgeons, hospitalists, wound care specialists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
- Earn dialysis certification as part of professional development.
- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
- Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
- Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
- Perform timely and accurate documentation in the medical record.
- Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
- Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.
Applicants must have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:
- Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within six months of hire.
- Two to three years of experience preferred; new graduates are welcomed to apply.
3x12, Days rotating weekends
