LPN Licensed Practical Nurse PRN Day Shift - Hoover City

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing services to patients within a correctional environment. The LPN delivers nursing care as directed by the Physician within the scope of the State Board of Nursing Practice for the LPN.
Pay$22-$23 per hour
Responsibilities- Respond and intervene to all emergency situations
- Conduct patient intake paperwork
- Verify and obtain orders for patient medication
- Conduct Sick Call clinic
- Order/maintain supply of patient medication from pharmacy
- Administer medications following nursing standards and correctional regulations
- Complete and document ordered treatments, patient care, and collected labs
- Assist provider with Chronic Care Clinic and provider sick call visit
- Monitor for, report and document changes in patient’s condition
- Accurately document all patient information, nursing care and interventions
- Ensure daily nursing tasks are completed within prescribed timeframe
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Assist with training and orientation of new personnel
- Follow QCHC policies, procedures & guidelines
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned

- Current and valid LPN or LVN license
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a health care setting as an LPN
- One year of experience in a correctional health care setting is preferred
