Salary
Salary range: $72,000-$94,500*
* The salary range listed is a guide for this position and may vary depending on experience, education, geographic location, and other qualifications. The final offer will be determined based on the candidate’s individual merits and the company’s compensation policies.
Position SummaryThe Quality Engineer I is a key member of the Quality team. The role is an integral part of the quality team and will help drive strong quality systems with high effectiveness. The Engineer I will work closely with the customers to resolve customer issues which help save money.
Responsibilities- Identify and collaborate on customer issues using root cause analysis tools to determine possible causes and propose solutions.
- Support quality standards (ISO
9001, AS9100D, ISO
17025, etc.) through participation in the quality system such as documentation, internal and external audits, calibration, etc. - Collaborate with peers to ensure everyone is on the same page.
- Participate in teams and projects throughout the site(s) to drive improvements in efficiency, yield, etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or technical field required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a metals or materials production/laboratory environment is preferred
- General knowledge of systematic quality management systems is required
- ETQ experience is required
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks on time is required
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft suite
- Effective communicator for groups of customers and employees
- Ability to train
- Solution oriented
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently uses hands to finger, handle or touch objects, tools or controls; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch.
EnvironmentEmployee is required to wear all proper PPE. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to low concentrations of fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. All such exposures are customarily within limits established by federal and state regulatory bodies. The noise level in the work environment is usually low. May involve travel 25‑50% within the first 6 months.
ExportCompliance Requirements
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology under ITAR and EAR regulations. The selected candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee or refugee, a national of a non‑prohibited country (verified via a letter of assurance), or a person approved for an export license.
