Secretary (IV) to the Director of Special Services

12-MONTH POSITION

Requirements: High school diploma required, post secondary study preferred

Additional Qualifications: Special Education knowledge

Job Goals: Fulfill specific and confidential functions demonstrating leadership to ensure an efficient and effective office environment

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates and directs assigned office operations
  • Processes and executes potentially litigious personnel and other confidential operational issues as instructed
  • Coordinates documentation and reporting requirements related to the Special Education Medicaid Initiative (SEMI)
  • Ensures the timely and accurate completion of regular and periodic confidential documentation for local, state and national reports as assigned
  • Compiles, maintains, and analyzes organizational data bases.
  • Types, files and performs other related office tasks as assigned.

Salary: Following established JTEA Salary Guide ranging from $54,626 to $58,231, commensurate with experience

Benefits: Full-time staff are eligible for Medical, Prescription, and Dental benefits. Sick, Personal, Family Illness, and Vacation days are included.

RESIDENCY LAW: Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (P.L. 2011, Chapter 70), also known as the "New Jersey First Act," effective September 1, 2011, all newly hired public employees, including public school district employees must reside in the State of New Jersey, unless exempted under the law. If you do not reside in New Jersey, you have one year after the date of hire to relocate your residence to New Jersey.

If you do not do so, you are subject to removal from your position in NEW JERSEY.
