Associate Accountant

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate Accountant who combines advanced Microsoft Excel expertise with strong analytical judgment, disciplined time management, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. This position is responsible for completing recurring and ad hoc accounting activities accurately, resolving issues efficiently, and delivering reliable financial information within established timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and reconcile accounting data using advanced Excel tools, formulas, Pivot Tables, lookups, and data-validation techniques.
• Review financial information for accuracy, identify trends and variances, investigate discrepancies, and translate findings into clear, actionable conclusions.
• Plan and prioritize daily, weekly, monthly, and period-end accounting assignments to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Partner effectively with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to gather information, resolve issues, and support shared objectives.
• Support continuous improvement by simplifying reports, strengthening controls, and developing more efficient accounting processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or experience commensurate with knowledge typically acquired through a four year degree is required.
• Experience:
  
  6 plus months work experience preferred but not required.
• Computer
  
  Skills:
  
  Requires standard computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office applications. Excel Word PowerPoint. SAP experience will be a plus.
• Communication
  
  Skills:
  
  Must have excellent written and verbal skills.
• Special
  
  Skills:
  
  Self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment; using good judgment to complete tasks; ability to set priorities and coordinate with others.
• Supervisory:
  None
• Travel: 1 plus trips per year.
