Hope Methodist Church – Pastor

Hope Methodist Church () is a congregation of approximately 150 members, with a median age of 55–60 years. Founded in 1874, the church recently disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church in 2023 and now operates as an independent Methodist congregation.

The church upholds traditional Methodist values, the authority of Scripture, and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Worship services feature the Revised Common Lectionary with a liturgical format that includes traditional prayers, hymns, eucharist, and sermon. The congregation maintains a robust Sunday school program for children, youth, and adults, and conducts outreach to individuals, schools, and community agencies.

We seek a seminary graduate from a Methodist or theologically conservative seminary, who is ordained by a governing body and has at least ten years of experience—preferably serving in a senior pastoral role.

The position includes a modern four‑bedroom parsonage and a salary range of $65,000–$75,000.
