Job Title: Special Education Paraprofessional
Starting Date: Immediately
Contract Length: 183 days
Position Type: Full‑time
Job DescriptionAid and support teachers and other certified personnel in implementing the instructional program and related services for disabled students. Includes, but not limited to, managing academic support and transitions within the classroom and building.
Responsibilities- Assist teachers and certified personnel in executing programs for students with disabilities.
- Manage academic support and facilitate classroom/building transitions.
- Maintain proper documentation and report progress.
- Collaborate with staff and families to support student goals.
- 60 college hours or passing the paraprofessional Praxis exam.
- Ability to work with special students.
- Minimum of two supervisory references.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
Salary: HPS District Aide Salary Schedule.
