Director of Therapy & Rehabilitation Services (Physical Therapist) | Hope, AR Salary: $115K-$135K Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Director of Therapy & Rehabilitation Services to lead and oversee the daily operations of our rehabilitation department. This leadership position combines clinical practice with administrative responsibilities and is ideal for a licensed Physical Therapist who enjoys mentoring staff, driving quality outcomes, and delivering exceptional patient care.
Essential Responsibilities- Direct the daily operations of the Therapy and Rehabilitation Services department.
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to all Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development for therapy staff.
- Maintain a productive clinical caseload consisting of both inpatient (swing bed) and outpatient therapy patients.
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, case management, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Monitor department productivity, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement department policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with budgeting, resource allocation, staffing, and operational planning.
- Ensure compliance with Arkansas state regulations, Medicare guidelines, and applicable federal healthcare standards.
- Promote excellent patient satisfaction through effective communication and patient education.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Active Arkansas Physical Therapist (PT) License.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification.
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) Number.
- 2-5 years of management or leadership experience in a therapy setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent patient education and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently within a small, collaborative healthcare team.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
