• Makes minor repairs to the interior and exterior of buildings and facilities
• Maintains furniture and equipment
• Employs basic skills in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and mechanical maintenance
• Plants flowers, spreads mulch and other landscaping/beautification needs
• Mows grass, cuts weeds, gathers, and removes trash from lawns
• Starts, operates, and checks for safety and maintenance on a wide variety of small engines, lawn mowers, and hand tools
• Maintains vehicles by changing oil and filters, replacing tires, repairing brakes, changing plugs, and other repairs, and keeps vehicle maintenance and repair records
• Cleans and replaces filters on air conditioners and performs minor repairs on central heating and air conditioning systems
• Delivers mail to campus and to the Post Office, delivers packages around campus
• Assists with event setup
• Performs other duties as assigned

Formal education equivalent of a high school diploma, plus one year of experience or training in building construction trades, general building maintenance, or repair/maintenance of mechanical equipment.
