About the Role
Hours:
No guaranteed, days, as needed.
Must have a current valid Indiana Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse license.
Prefer 1+ years of medical or nursing experience;
Pediatric/school nursing experience is a plus.
- Providing healthcare to the school population in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act for Licensed Practical Nurses/Registered Nurses.
- Providing health care for acute or chronic illnesses, medication administration/management, and performing procedures or treatments as ordered.
- Communicating effectively with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
- Maintaining confidentiality.
- Providing emergency care and first aid.
- Assessing situations and making quick, appropriate decisions regarding student and staff health.
- Following universal precautions, protocols and policies, individual health plans, and physician orders.
Work requires possible prolonged sitting and standing, computer work, and work in a standard school building environment.
