Food Service Worker​/Cashier

Job Summary

Food Service Worker/Cashier – Full‑time position for Chartwells K12 located at Hope School District Administration, 117 East Second Street, Hope, AR 71801.

Schedule:

7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., days may vary. Pay: $12.00 per hour. Requirement:
Prior kitchen experience preferred. Internal employee referral bonus available.

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables. Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards. Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Store foods in designated areas in accordance with wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly, service‑oriented manner.
• Relay relevant information to supervisor.
• Perform sales transactions, including entering sales into the cash register, making change, accepting card and other payments, issuing receipts, and issuing cash refunds.
• Maintain cash drawer compliance with overage/shortage standards.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
