Substitute Nurse

Hours:

No guaranteed, days, as needed

Must have a current valid Indiana Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse license

Prefer 1+ years of medical/nursing experience;
Pediatric/school nursing experience is a plus

This position will provide health care to the school population in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act for Licensed Practical Nurses/Registered Nurses.

Work does require possible prolonged sitting and standing, computer work, and work in a standard school building environment.

Duties include but are not limited to:

providing health care for acute or chronic illnesses, medication administration/management, perform procedures/treatments as ordered, ability to communicate well with students, staff, and parents/guardians, maintain confidentiality, emergency care and first aid, ability to assess situations and make quick, appropriate decisions regarding student and staff health, follow universal precautions, follow proper protocols/policies, follow individual health plans, and implement physician orders.
