Base Salary + New Customer Growth Incentives

Estes Material Sales is seeking an experienced, motivated Sales Representative to become one of the primary faces of our company and the first point of contact for our loyal contractor and wholesale customer base.

We are looking for someone with industry experience & product knowledge who can build relationships, solve problems, understand construction projects, provide exceptional service, and grow an already-established territory.

Our Sales Representative will be responsible for the sales and promotion of brick, natural stone veneer, hardscape, landscape, and related construction products throughout a territory extending from the Indianapolis area to Louisville.

What You’ll Do

Your day will typically begin at our Hope, Indiana office, with the remainder of your time spent working with customers, visiting jobsites, developing new business, and managing projects throughout the territory.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with our existing contractor, wholesale, builder, and commercial customer base.
  • Develop new contractor, builder, landscape, masonry, and commercial accounts throughout the territory.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and dependable resource for customers from product selection through project completion.
  • Help customers select brick, natural stone veneer, hardscape, landscape, and related products.
  • Work directly with contractors to provide product recommendations, manufacturer information, installation guidance, and suggested product applications.
  • Perform material takeoffs, estimates, field measurements, and project-related calculations.
  • Visit customer offices and active jobsites throughout the territory.
  • Follow up on quotes, leads, orders, special-order products, and active projects.
  • Communicate with project managers, vendors, manufacturers, and our internal team to maintain accurate lead times and ensure materials are available when customers need them.
  • Assist with special pricing, large-project quotes, and job-specific purchasing requests.
  • Maintain regular communication with existing customers—not just when there is an immediate sale.
  • Identify upcoming projects and new sales opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Prospect for and develop new customers throughout the territory.
  • Represent Estes Material Sales professionally at trade shows, contractor events, vendor events, training programs, and other industry functions.
  • Build relationships with manufacturers and vendors and stay current on products, applications, and industry trends.
  • Entertain and build relationships with customers through lunches, events, industry outings, and other appropriate customer activities.
  • Maintain accurate customer, project, quote, and follow-up information.
  • Work closely with ownership and our internal sales and operations teams to provide customers with an exceptional experience.
Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is personable, service-oriented, organized, competitive, and comfortable taking ownership of customer relationships.

Industry experience is important. Experience in masonry, brick, natural stone, hardscape, landscape supply, building materials, construction sales, or contractor sales is strongly preferred.

The right person will:

  • Understand the construction industry and how contractors operate.
  • Be comfortable walking jobsites and communicating with contractors, project managers, builders, architects, and homeowners.
  • Have strong estimating and basic construction measurement skills.
  • Be highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Follow through on commitments without needing constant supervision.
  • Communicate quickly and professionally with customers.
  • Be comfortable developing new business and asking for the sale.
  • Enjoy meeting people and developing long-term customer relationships.
  • Be willing to pick up the phone, visit a jobsite, solve a problem, or do whatever is reasonably necessary to take care of a customer.
  • Understand that great salespeople don’t simply take orders—they become a valuable resource to their customers.
  • Be comfortable…
