Job Summary and Qualifications- Coordinates the Infection Prevention Program.
- Develops, implements, and maintains a reporting system for hospital-associated infections/communicable diseases.
- Maintains communication with hospital staff regarding detection and surveillance of possible hazardous situations.
- Serves as resource person to hospital staff in the area of Infection Control.
- Establishes and implements in-service and continuing educational programs concerning infection control procedures.
- Assists all department managers in developing, implementing, and updating the infection control standards for their departments.
- Actively participates in the planning and implementation of emergency preparedness.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Current RN Virginia license or has a compact multistate license.
