Responsibilities
- Delivers quality nursing care for radiologic procedures
- Plans and provides individual comfort measures
- Assesses patient condition and continuously monitors during procedures
- Ensures accurate documentation of clinical changes and interventions
- Advocates for patient needs and participation in testing
- Participates in unit performance improvement activities
- Follows established policies for attendance and punctuality
- Performs additional duties as assigned
- Delivers quality nursing care to meet health, physical, emotional, and educational needs of patients
- Plans and provides individualized comfort measures
- Assesses patient condition and status by interviewing patient and performing physical examination
- Reviews medical history and records ahead of testing
- Facilitates communication of information to health team members
- Assists patients and families in understanding current diagnostic exams and alternatives
- Provides information and interpretation of patient's condition
- Formulates and documents discharge plan
- Collaborates with radiologist and modality staff regarding patient needs
