Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location;
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and first responders when needed;
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions;
Monitor entrances, lobbies, and restricted areas, verify authorized access when required, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or daily activities according to site protocols;
Support a professional atmosphere by assisting with directions, managing visitor-related concerns, and helping to de-escalate tense situations with courtesy and respect
