We're looking for a Terminal Operator I to join our Hopewell VA team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving everyday challenges, and being part of a tight-knit, supportive crew.
In this role, you'll be a key part of our terminal operations, helping ensure products are handled safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Your day-to-day may include:
- Working safely at all times and following established procedures.
- Receiving and connecting railcars, steam lines, and unloading hoses.
- Monitoring and recording tank temperatures and measurements.
- Operating systems such as Order Weigh.
- Performing routine yard and equipment maintenance.
- Pulling product samples as needed.
- Keeping the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Collaborating with team members, customers, and vendors.
This role reports to the Terminal Manager and offers the chance to learn multiple aspects of terminal operations.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card (if required).
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform active hands-on work.
