Position: Robotics Program Coordinator - Operating Room - HPW - FT - Day

Position Overview

Develops strategies, plans and executes processes to increase quality, safety and operational excellence in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Assists in providing technical, clinical, and administrative leadership in the care of robotic surgery patients. This includes assisting the team leaders in general management of the operating rooms to ensure the efficient processing of patients, forecasting/ordering of equipment and supply needs, and assisting in development and maintenance of policies, protocols and data collection related to robotic surgery.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Two years of operating room surgical procedures experience, including robotic and minimally invasive surgery.
  • Certification in a specialty area preferred.
  • Active American Heart Association BLS – Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Technical knowledge of robotic platforms and strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with interdepartmental teams, government agencies, and private corporation personnel in a collegial and business-like manner.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and database programs.
Essential Functions
  • Promote growth of the robotics program; maintain clinical competencies in robotic surgeries and drive new processes and procedures with the robotic surgical system.
  • Serve as a model educator, facilitator, change agent, consultant, mentor, and leader to promote professional growth of peers in the robotics realm.
  • Act as a resource and contribute to the professional development of physicians and staff in robotics applications.
  • Develop, direct, and participate in performance improvement activities with leadership within the scope of the robotics program.
  • Act as an interdepartmental liaison between physicians, management, staff, ancillary departments, and professional contacts.
  • Collaborate with educators to provide staff education related to robotic surgery and data collection.
  • Assess, revise, and update surgical schedule to find and fill available robotic surgical procedure times.
  • Order and maintain inventory of robotic supplies.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, procedural data, and inventory of supplies.
  • Oversee implementation, maintenance, and optimization of robotics surgery systems.
  • Develop strategic goals for robotics programs, including financial analysis and growth strategies.
Physical Demands

Frequent physical demands include pushing/pulling, twisting, bending, reaching forward, reaching overhead, squatting/kneeling/crawling, wrist position deviation, pinching/fine motor activities, keyboard use, repetitive motion, and taste or smell. Occasional demands include sitting and climbing. Continuous demands include standing, walking, carrying objects, talking or hearing, and lifting 25 lbs. Lifting from floor to waist and waist level and above 25 lbs. Sensory requirements include near vision (20/40), far vision (20/40), accurate color discrimination, depth perception, and hearing.

Pay Range: $45.26 - $59.13 per hour (full-time equivalent). Scheduled Weekly
