Airgas is Hiring for a DELIVERY DRIVER/DOCK LOADER, CDL A in HOPEWELL, VA! We are looking for you!

• Compensation: $80,000-$100,00 year - - Mileage - $0.5125/CPM

• Schedule: Friday
  - Tue (2nd Shift) Weekend coverage required.

• Area of Coverage: Mostly VA, NC

• Equipment used: Class A Dry Van

Operates a Class A vehicle,to deliver dry ice to customer's place of business. Issue or obtain customer's signature on receipt for pickup or delivery. Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment. Ensure piece count matches load manifest and collect empty dry ice boxes to be returned to the plant and/or branch. Provide customer service and give feedback from customers to the Branch Manager.

• Perform pre and post trip inspections on truck according to DOT and company maintenance checklist. Keep the inside of the truck clean.

• Ability to travel 25%-50% of the time within the region including layovers with 1-2 weeks prior notice. When travel is expected, Airgas will pay for any hotel accommodations, flights or car rentals.

• Secure cargo prior to and during transit.

• Maintain accurate driving log information and data.

• Comply with all company policies, safety policies and procedures, and DOT and OSHA requirements.

• Maintain appropriate driver's license and DOT Medical card.

• At least 21 yrs old
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.
• Confirmed experience driving in the military with a CDL will also count for the required experience.
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years
• No serious violation ticket (speeding 15+, reckless driving, etc) in the last 3 years.
• No suspensions of CDL in the last 3 years except for "Failure to pay child support".
• No DUI on the last 7 years.
