Traffic Control Flagger

Road Safe Traffic Systems is hiring a Traffic Control Flagger in Hopewell, VA.

The pay range is $17.00 to $17.50 per hour. This is a full-time, field-based traffic control position.

• Setting up signs, cones, and traffic control devices.
• Managing traffic flow.
• Communicating with team members using two-way radios.
• Standing and walking for up to 10 hours a day.
• Lifting and moving items over 50 pounds.
• Driving company vehicles and performing routine vehicle inspections.
• Working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Following company policies and procedures.

• A valid driver's license.
• Passing a background check.
• Passing a motor vehicle records check.
• Passing a drug test.
• Meeting federal DOT requirements.
• Wearing proper safety equipment.
• Operating a two-way radio.
• Working in various weather conditions and traffic settings.
• Communicating with contractors and internal teams.
• Working well in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Excellent attendance.
• Completion of ATSSA Flagger training and company-sponsored Defensive Driver training.
• Willingness to travel statewide with occasional overnight stays.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as required by projects.
• Availability for a rotating on-call schedule.
