Early Childhood Special Education teaching opportunity at Harley Hopkins Family Center serving special education students ages 3 years to 5 years of age.
QualificationsEarly Childhood Special Education license required. This position works with preschoolers aged birth to 5 years typically in a daycare or preschool setting. The candidate needs strong teaching and consultation skills in working with team members, staff in other settings, and families. The candidate develops and implements IEP goals and objectives within the home setting. The teacher has strong communication skills, a passion and commitment to work with students from diverse cultures and economic backgrounds, strong assessment skills determining eligibility for ECSE services and ongoing assessments of student progress, a data collection system for tracking student progress, and an understanding of service coordination with other service providers and knowledge of community resources to support families and students.
Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in education or a closely related field.
Required Certificates, Licenses, and RegistrationsContinued employment is contingent upon maintaining all required licenses and certificates in active status without suspension or revocation.
Driver’s license.
Valid Minnesota Teaching License.
Required Skills- Creating and administering individualized lesson plans.

HEA Union Contract.
Range: BA, Step 0: $51,000; MA, Step 0: $60,228.
