Six Week Building Float Paraprofessional Substitute
Minnetonka Public Schools is accepting applications for a Six Week Building Float Paraprofessional Substitute at Minnewashta Elementary for the school year. This is a bilingual Paraprofessional Substitute position requiring fluency in both Spanish and English. The Building Float Paraprofessional Substitute provides guidance and support to students in a variety of classroom settings throughout the building. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to supporting student success across multiple learning environments.

Responsibilities:
- Supports the lead teacher in supervising the classroom and students maintaining a positive learning environment
- Provides instructional support by working with small groups and individual students under the supervision of the classroom teacher
- Provides assistance to specific students with special needs
- Assists in the maintenance of individual student learning plans and scheduling of service learning projects as well as reinforcement of curricular concepts and themes taught within the classroom
- Adapts instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Manages classroom behavior and maintains a positive learning environment
- Adapts to changing classroom assignments and student support needs throughout the building
- Performs other duties as assigned by the teacher or school administrator
Requirements:
- Experience working with gifted/talented children
- Spanish speaking applicants preferred
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and through American Sign Language (for ASL)
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public
Six Week Float - Paraprofessional Substitute Payrate: $22.61/hr Not medical or dental benefit eligible. Hiring Administrator:
