Key Responsibilities
  • Operate as a P&L owner for assigned products, requiring deep expertise of the key drivers of the application funnel, credit losses, expenses, and bottom-line profitability.
  • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle and identify product enhancements that increase originations or product profitability through collaboration with marketing, branch sales, and underwriting.
  • Optimize pricing, promotions, and credit policy to drive origination growth and maximize return‑on‑assets for existing products.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence to ensure product competitiveness and to measure market share trends.
  • Design and launch new products that meet well‑defined customer needs and create competitive differentiation for U.S. Bank.
  • Define and communicate the product vision, design, and business case.
  • Launch new partnerships (e.g., our existing partner Wisetack) that bring incremental unsecured lending distribution opportunities for U.S. Bank.
  • Work openly and collaboratively as the product owner to ensure all stakeholders—including risk, finance, treasury, sales, marketing, and delivery—understand the product vision, financial goals, and long‑term roadmap.
Basic Qualifications
  • Product management experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • 5–10 years’ experience in banking product management, preferably with credit products.
  • Knowledge of the industry and competitive trends driving unsecured lending growth and market expansion over the past 10 years.
  • Experience managing product P&L, product strategy, vision and planning, performance measurement and optimization, marketing and analytics, customer centricity.
  • Strong financial background with demonstrated mastery of the levers that drive credit product profitability.
  • Ability to anticipate shifting market priorities, internal and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value.
  • Strong customer centricity to implement strategies and techniques used to ensure that customers have a positive experience with the organization’s products and services at every touch point.
