IT Infrastructure Server Delivery Manager
The IT Infrastructure Server Delivery Manager is responsible for leading the planning, implementation, and delivery of server infrastructure projects and services. This role ensures that server environments are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business requirements while maintaining high availability and performance standards.
Service Delivery & Operations- Act as a first point of contact for IT leadership.
- Tracks and reports the performance of day-to-day tasks by the team.
- Attend and ensure daily huddle and weekly onshore‑offshore team meetings.
- Coordinate with the Transformation office for improvement opportunities.
- Conduct periodic meetings with SMEs to report project status and improve relationships.
- Prepare plans for required deliverables.
- Track incidents and coordinate with other resolver groups for issue resolution among in‑scope towers.
- Manage day-to-day operations of server environments across infra, Windows, Linux, Unix, and database platforms.
- Ensure server infrastructure meets agreed SLAs and operational targets.
- Coordinate maintenance windows and change‑management activities to minimize business disruption.
- Lead and mentor a team of server engineers and administrators, providing technical guidance and performance management.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and operational demands.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Conduct regular team meetings and one‑on‑ones to track progress and address challenges.
- Plan and execute server infrastructure projects from initiation through completion, including migrations, upgrades, and new deployments as per scope.
- Develop project timelines and resource plans, collaborating with stakeholders.
- Track project milestones and deliverables, providing regular status updates to senior management.
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Serve as primary liaison between the Command Center team and other tower leads.
- Manage relationships with hardware vendors.
- Coordinate with other IT teams (networking, storage, security, applications) to ensure integrated solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts to non‑technical audiences effectively.
- Develop and maintain server infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and capabilities.
- Drive standardization and automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
- Monitor capacity and performance metrics to inform infrastructure planning and optimization.
- Ensure server infrastructure adheres to security policies, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of server configurations, procedures, and architecture.
- Implement and enforce change‑management and incident‑management processes.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify improvement opportunities.
- 7+ years of experience in server infrastructure management and operations.
- 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex infrastructure projects.
- Deep knowledge of Windows Server and Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, or similar).
- Understanding of cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools (Power Shell, Ansible, Terraform).
- Knowledge of server hardware, storage systems, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with monitoring and management tools.
- Strong project management capabilities with understanding of methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, ITIL).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Budget management and cost optimization experience.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Relevant certifications/training such as PMP, ITIL, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or AWS/Azure certifications.
- Experience in enterprise environments with 24/7 operations.
- Knowledge of Dev Ops practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Salary Range – $90,000–$110,000 a year
Qualifications: BACHELOR OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
