The Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in the Youngstown-Warren area. This position is responsible for visiting damaged residential and commercial properties, assessing the scope of fire, water, storm, and mold-related damage, and preparing accurate, detailed estimates for restoration work. Day-to-day tasks include measuring and documenting affected areas, creating itemized estimates using industry-standard software, and coordinating with project managers, field technicians, and insurance adjusters.

The Estimator communicates clearly with property owners to explain recommended work, timelines, and costs, while maintaining thorough records, photos, and reports. The role also involves monitoring project progress against estimates, updating documentation as needed, and ensuring that proposals meet company standards, local regulations, and customer expectations.

• Candidates should possess strong analytical and mathematical skills, including the ability to take accurate measurements, interpret plans, and calculate material and labor costs.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with estimating or construction management software, basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office), and the ability to learn company-specific systems.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of construction or restoration practices, building materials, and industry standards related to fire, water, storm, and mold damage.
• Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and insurance representatives, and for preparing detailed reports.
• Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to handle multiple estimates, prioritize site visits, and meet deadlines.
• Candidates should possess a valid driver's license and the ability to travel locally to job sites in the Youngstown-Warren area and surrounding regions.
• Candidates should possess the ability to work safely on active job sites, including climbing stairs, walking uneven surfaces, and using basic inspection tools.
• Previous experience in estimating, construction, restoration, or a related field is beneficial; industry certifications and familiarity with insurance claim processes are a plus.
