Overview
We are seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Henderson, NV office. This position reports to the Water Resources Technical Manager in Henderson, NV. The Senior Water Resources Engineer, under direction, provides professional expertise in flood control engineering and design.
Your role- Lead and mentor junior engineers in the development of design concepts.
- Plan and review the production of engineering investigations, planning work, drawings and specifications.
- Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for new projects, weighing alternatives and selecting the most cost‑effective solution.
- Analyze technical problems, assess the feasibility of proposed techniques and procedures, and devise new approaches and alternative solutions.
- Analyze project dimension and scope, and prepare or oversee the preparation of cost and manpower estimates, schedules and job budgets.
- Coordinate work with project managers, guides others on drafting and design of preliminary and final plans.
- Provide quality control and maintain quality standards, check work performed by others.
- Occasionally manage projects.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
- B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering. This level may be achieved by Engineers with seven years’ experience since B.S.; six years’ experience since M.S.
- Understanding and competency of CADD (Autodesk and Micro Station).
- Understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic design principles and applications in arid regions, preferably in Southern Nevada.
- Good technical writing, computer and verbal communications skills.
- May be eligible to receive project management training.
- P.E. license is required.

CompensationExpected compensation range is between $125,000 - $138,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
