Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review customer source control and specification drawings to determine requirements or feasibility of the component.
• Design, develop, and improve new and existing products.
• Perform sizing/performance, stress, and pressure drop and flow analyses.
• Prepare design proposals, including drawings and bills of materials.
• Establish, communicate, and verify design validation requirements.
• Participate in assembly and testing of engineering prototypes.
• Present to new and existing customers.
• Propose cost reduction activities.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality operations.
• Conduct engineering and general design reviews.
• Interact with customers and suppliers on engineering design.
• Coordinate with the Product Team.
• Adhere to ISO 14001 Environmental System, Safety Management System, and IATF 16949 Management System.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in design engineering or related role.
• Experience with modeling system components.
• Experience validating product design.
• Experience determining component requirements.
• Experience conducting finite element analysis (FEA).

Salary: $69,014 to $72,321.60 per year.

Travel:
Under 10% domestic travel to client sites required. Telecommuting permitted in urgent circumstances with prior approval.
