The Senior Layout Tech is a full-time hybrid role based in the Jefferson area. This role focuses on translating engineering concepts into precise layouts and drawings that support forging production, tooling, and quality control. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing detailed part layouts, checking dimensions and tolerances against specifications, and collaborating closely with engineering, tooling, and production teams to ensure manufacturability and accuracy.

The Senior Layout Tech will analyze complex forged components, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help resolve layout-related issues on the shop floor. The position also involves maintaining documentation, supporting adherence to quality standards, and contributing expertise to new product development and process optimization.

• Strong skills in technical drawing, layout design, and dimensional inspection for complex metal components.
• Proficiency with CAD software and related layout tools used in mechanical or manufacturing engineering environments.
• Knowledge of forging, machining, or metal-forming processes, including tolerances, materials, and production workflows.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams and communicate technical information clearly.
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting; forging industry experience is highly beneficial.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Pay: $62,500 - $65,000 This position is OT eligible
