CAE Engineer

Location: Raymond, OH – Onsite Job Description

Honda is seeking an experienced CAE Crash & Safety Engineer to perform vehicle crash and safety simulations, analyze CAE results, and develop engineering countermeasures to meet vehicle safety targets and regulatory requirements.

• Perform crash and safety CAE analysis with approximately 5–15 years of relevant experience
  .
• Develop simulation models and perform crash simulations using LS-DYNA
  .
• Prepare CAE models/decks and conduct impact simulations.
• Perform pre-processing and post-processing using tools such as ANSA and Meta Post/Meta-Post
  .
• Analyze crash simulation results and identify areas requiring design improvement.
• Evaluate vehicle structural performance against safety targets.
• Develop effective countermeasures when simulation results do not meet performance requirements.
• Apply knowledge of NCAP and IIHS regulations and Honda internal safety standards.
• Work closely with design and test engineers to develop and validate safety solutions.
• Prepare technical simulation reports and engineering documentation.
• Present CAE results and recommendations to cross-functional engineering teams.
• Work within a Linux environment for CAE analysis activities.
• Communicate technical findings using appropriate engineering terminology.

• 5–15 years of CAE experience
  , specifically in the automotive crash domain
  .
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with ANSA, Meta Post/Meta-Post, and LS-DYNA
  .
• Strong experience in crash and impact simulation
  .
• Strong LS-DYNA deck preparation and solver experience.
• Ability to interpret and evaluate crash simulation results.
• Knowledge of NCAP and IIHS safety requirements
  .
• Experience preparing CAE reports and technical documentation.
• Experience working in a Linux environment
