Mental Health Tech (MHT) Opportunity - Evening Shift & Night Shift

Cumberland Hall Hospital is a 97 bed, licensed, acute psychiatric hospital located in beautiful Hopkinsville, KY. Cumberland Hall features individual units for youth, adults and active‑dutiful military, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 1,500 patients receive care from our compassionate health‑care team each year.

Join our team as a Mental Health Tech and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients. As an MHT, you will provide compassionate care and support within a therapeutic environment, assist with treatment plans, lead therapeutic activities, and work closely with a dedicated team to ensure quality patient care.

• Demonstrate leadership ability and communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
• Possess knowledge of therapeutic relationships with adolescents and other patients, including therapeutic processes, growth and development, limit setting, behavior management, crisis management of aggressive behavior, and BLS American Heart.
• Maintain near‑visual acuity for evaluating patients and reading charts; eye/hand coordination and finger dexterity essential for manual charting.
• Be able to speak, listen, and converse with patients, and stand or walk for long periods of time.

• Evening shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (8 hours)
• Night shift: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM (8 hours)

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a human service related field preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Two years working with people in group settings who have mental health or developmental challenges preferred; one year employment in a facility required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
