Position Summary
This position will lead production to achieve targeted results and follows the precepts of the Plymouth Business System;
Ensures Lead Operators and Operators are trained and adhere to Company policy and procedures. Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements.
- Champion safety initiatives on the shop floor.
- Provide expectations, accountability, and direction to the production team.
- Understand production processes and material flow throughout the production cycle.
- Act as a “Customer Champion” and is accountable to customer requirements.
- Take an active role in understanding the P&L of the company and departmental budget and leads cost saving initiatives.
- Lead the “Managing Daily Improvement” process on the shop floor to drive specific productivity improvements, ensure day to day performance, on time delivery and continuous improvement.
- Comply with Plymouth Business Systems requirements to ensure that production is meeting the internal and external systems.
- Responsible for production personnel training.
- Execute Plymouth Tube policies, procedures, work instructions and manufacturing processes.
- Develop Lead Operators, drive business objectives, develop talent in the production team, and identify direct report training needs.
- Responsible for ensuring the production floor is kept neat and orderly.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years manufacturing experience; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Past Leadership experience and Lean Manufacturing experience is preferred. Knowledge of micrometers, calipers and other measuring devices.
