Job Overview
The Team Leader works closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager to support quality patient care on assigned unit(s).

Responsibilities- Assist the Clinical Nurse Manager in promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective leadership.
- Coordinate unit activities and schedules, disseminate information, and promote a positive working environment for staff, physicians, LIP's, and ancillary departments.
- Hold staff accountable for adherence to JSMC policy/procedures, CMS standards and regulations, and JC standards.
- Mentor staff and validate performance.
- Attend and participate in meetings/committees for process and performance improvement.
- Act as Clinical Nurse Manager in the Clinical Nurse Manager’s absence.
- Develop a full understanding of Studer Group Practices and Tools, communicate them effectively, and embrace the Studer Group Philosophies and Principles by conducting oneself in a professional manner.
- Accountable to Studer Group Philosophies: HCAHPS Patient Perception, Hourly Rounding with Intention, Bedside Shift Report, AIDET, and Daily Huddles.
- Ability to supervise staff members who provide direct patient care.
- Practice within the scope of license.
- Utilization of critical thinking skills.
Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Required LicensesRegistered Nurses: Must hold current license in Kentucky or in a compact state. Maintain BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
Minimum Work ExperienceMinimum 2 years RN clinical setting required.
