Jennie Stuart Health is looking for a compassionate and motivated Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (BHU) to provide exceptional care to patients in our 12-bed Behavioral Health Unit. This role is perfect for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and are passionate about helping patients on their path to healing and recovery.
Job Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
- Administer and document medications safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to update and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment goals and progress
- Operate equipment safely, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and uphold all safety standards
- Demonstrate professionalism and compassion while maintaining patient confidentiality and supporting hospital policies
- Serve as a positive role model for teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN license in the state of Kentucky or a compact state
- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (required, must be current)
- Strong understanding of medication administration and patient care protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence and composure in high-stress situations
- Commitment to patient confidentiality, ethical standards, and continuous learning
