REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Reports directly to Corporate IATF Systems Leadership and maintains a dotted‑line reporting relationship to the Quality Manager.

PURPOSE

Provide support to the Quality Department by collecting, organizing, and generating reports from inspection and manufacturing process data, customer complaints, internal QMS, ISO/IATF audits; maintain historical records. Function as a Lead Auditor and support the Corporate IATF Quality Systems Engineer. Ensure organization and format of related data and distribution of assigned reports.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administration of the Document Control System ensuring all documentation and data are controlled in accordance with the Document Control Procedure.
  • Data entry, RMA/applied credit, problem solving/corrective action, charts, and reporting.
  • Lead internal audits in IATF 16949 and support compliance of the Quality System with IATF 16949 Standard; ensure proper completion of internal audits, follow‑up, and verification of implemented actions.
  • Assist and coordinate audit activities with the Corporate IATF Quality Systems Engineer and Quality Manager.
  • Coordinate and support IATF 16949 development of countermeasures to ensure compliance of findings and corrective actions.
  • Initiate corrective action activities for internal audit nonconformances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct Quality Systems audits and assist with supplier audits; provide training/guidance to other auditors.
  • Maintain quality communication and files: customer complaint log, defect history, corrective action system, schedules, nonconforming product logs, PCR tracking, MRB log entries, Evening Market activities, data entry to support systems (Plex etc.).
  • Prepare monthly status reports/scorecards, monthly outgoing quality EM board updates, and assist the Quality Manager with daily, weekly, monthly reports as needed; perform special projects and reports as assigned.
MEASUREMENTS/COMPETENCIES
  • Organization of responsible areas.
  • Accuracy of reports, documentation completion, verification of corrective action effectiveness.
  • Timeliness; ability to handle multiple tasks without loss of efficiency or control.
  • Communication skills.
  • Performance in areas of responsibility including internal audit performance.
  • Adept at gaining knowledge of the QMS system and related documents (policies, manuals, standards, procedures, instructions, process flows).
  • Accomplishment of set goals as provided by the IATF Systems Quality Engineer and Quality Manager.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role routinely uses standard office equipment and is conducted in a professional manufacturing environment. It may be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and moderate noise.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years’ experience in an office environment, preferably manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of Quality Systems, including development and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001/IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Experience in system audits and ability to support and lead an internal auditing program.
  • IATF 16949 Internal Auditor Certification;
    Lead Auditor Certification preferred.
  • Problem solving and use of core tools.
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to present data/charts effectively.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self‑motivated with good attendance and work ethic.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift 32 pounds at times.
  • Ability to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full‑time position, Monday through Friday. Extended hours and possible weekend work may be required.

TRAVEL

Travel to Hopkinsville, vendor and customer worksites may be required.
