Job DescriptionTitle: Full Year Substitute School Psychologist
Type of Position: Full-time (1.0) for school year. Salary commensurate with experience and education (FY 27 range: $59,168 - $127,834 per year).
Location: High School, Hopkinton, Massachusetts.
This position is that of School Psychologist. The incumbent will monitor the social, emotional, and behavioral progress of students and provide prevention, intervention, and referral services as needed.
Responsibilities- Monitor social, emotional, and behavioral progress of students, document caseload impacts on curriculum access.
- Administer, interpret, and report on all psychological evaluation results for initial and three-year special education evaluations; attend and report assessment results as part of the IEP process.
- Provide prevention, intervention, and referral services for students with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges; deliver therapeutic counseling for students on IEPs and other at‑risk students, as designated by the team, advocating for individual student needs.
- Consult and collaborate with students, families, outside agencies, school programs, and staff.
- Share responsibility for evaluating and implementing functional behavioral assessments (FBA) and behavior intervention plans (BIP) as necessary.
- Conduct consultative and collaborative activities that promote healthy pro‑social skills and positive school culture.
- Participate in the LST, IEP, and/or §504 process as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Licensed, or eligible for licensure as a School Psychologist by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education.
- Master’s degree in School Psychology.
- Strong interpersonal skills with clear and effective oral and written communication with children and adults.
- Commitment to remain current in field knowledge, evaluation, and counseling strategies.
- Other qualifications deemed appropriate by the Superintendent in conformity with state licensure requirements.
