Secondary

Type of Position

Full-time (8.0 hours/day, 40.0 hours/week); anticipated start 8/17/2026; salary per collective bargaining agreement (range $25.80-$29.03/hour), commensurate with experience

Location

Middle School, Hopkinton, Massachusetts

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates the daily operation of the cafeteria by planning, directing, supervising and participating in the preparation and serving of all food in the cafeteria.
  • Manages food service staff and produces and maintains daily work schedules for all cafeteria employees.
  • Maintains food production and service based on pre-determined lunch menus.
  • Assumes responsibility for the weekly ordering, receiving, inventorying and security of all food and supplies, and supervises the storage and care of all food and supplies.
  • Tracks and submits vendor invoices.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or GED preferred.
  • Serv Safe certification (assistance available to selected candidate, if needed).
  • Ability to read basic operating and use instructions.
  • Ability to give instructions and information in a clear, concise manner and to ensure that these instructions are carried out.
  • Thorough knowledge of food service and sanitation practices.
  • Alternatives to the above qualifications may be considered by the Food Service Director or Superintendent.
