Northrop Grumman is looking for an Assembler 1 to support our XXXXX department. As a member of the assembly department you’ll get to work on passive high power microwave components. This position will serve on-site at Hopkinton, MA 01748.
ResponsibilitiesPerforms a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as waveguide components. Works from diagrams and drawings, use hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
BasicQualifications for Assembler 1:
Ability to read and follow written assembly procedures and drawings, Ability to sit or stand for 2 hour periods, ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to operate bench grinders, sanders, apply braze stop using small brushes.
Preferred Qualifications for Assembler 1:Familiar with microwave waveguide and components and torch brazing experience.
