Job Summary and QualificationsPOSITION SUMMARY:
The Coordinator Neonatal Program provides leadership and promotes excellence in patient care for neonatal conditions. This position’s responsibilities include performance improvement activities, chart review, gap identification, change implementation, daily patient rounds, policy and protocol review, and nursing education. The role also requires abstracting information from high‑risk patient medical records as needed. The coordinator is responsible for maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the registry, verifying and updating information, and preparing reports as requested.
Additionally, the program manager serves as the primary key contact for the facility’s Neonatal Level III program.
- Perform performance improvement activities, chart review, gap identification, change implementation, daily patient rounds, policy and protocol review, and nursing education.
- Abstract information from high‑risk patient medical records as needed.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of the registry, verify and update information, and prepare reports.
- Serve as the primary key contact for the facility’s Neonatal Level III program.
Education and Experience (Required): Associate Degree in Nursing and a minimum of three years of experience as a NICU nurse.
Education and Experience (Preferred): Bachelor or Master of Science in Nursing, previous experience as a NICU Clinical Nurse Coordinator.
Licenses and Certificates (Required): Current license as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. BLS and NRP certifications required for all staff.
